Private Schools Woo Green Track Students

Zamse Senior High-Technical School

First-year students in the Upper East Region on the Green Track under the Double Track System have ended their 41 days in school.

Private Senior High Schools (SHSs) and remedial institutions in Bolgatanga that were virtually empty have started advertising on radio to woo the students who are vacation.

Managers of Idea College and Golden Step say they have special packages in terms of fees and syllabus for the students, who are expected to go to school in January 2019.

Students living in communities in region started going home on Tuesday, November 6, but those residing in distant communities and districts left on Wednesday, November 7, 2018.

The schools are empty, and the authorities are waiting for the students on the Gold Track to report on Thursday, November 8.

Majority of the students told DAILY GUIDE that they were satisfied with what the teachers taught them during the period.

Others were not happy with their teachers who could not cover all topics.

Many people doubted the viability of the Double Track System.

Some parents have embraced the Double Track system and want government to make investment to address the challenges that bedeviled the Double Track System in the 2018-2019 Academic Year.
