Global liquor brand, Jack Daniels, has launched Nightlife Awards in Ghana as part of efforts to celebrate stakeholders in the nightlife industry.
The award ceremony was launched at a media event last Friday, where some selected nightlife bloggers and social media influencers were rewarded for their contributions to promoting the nightlife industry. The event was used to release the full list of categories and nominees.
Speaking at the event, Richard Bouclous, Brands Manager of Jack Daniels Ghana, stated that the Jack Daniels (JD) Nightlife Awards is aimed at becoming an annual awards event to recognise and reward the most outstanding brands and personalities in the nightlife industry.
Derrick Addai-Darko, PR & Events Manager of Jack Daniels, reiterated that the awards is in acknowledgement of the hard work and dedication of industry players, as well as the rapid growth of the nightlife industry which has seen it become the hub of all evolving lifestyle trends in popular culture in the Ghanaian society, especially among the youthful to middle-aged demographic.
He also assured the media that the awards scheme is here to stay and will take place consistently every year. The awards will award nightlife brands and outlets, as well as personalities from across the country in 15 categories with 10 public voting categories.
The public can choose their preferred nominee in the public voting categories through the following steps; follow @jackdaniels_gh on IG or Jack Daniels Ghana on Facebook. Post official JD Nightlife Awards nominee picture on Instagram and Facebook with the official hashtag comprising #Name+category and #JDNightlifeAwards.
Tag @jackdaniels_gh [e.g. caption: #DJNyceBestDJ #JDNightlifeAwards @jackdaniels_gh]. Winners of the public voting categories will be selected strictly based on fan posts via social media.
